What it is
About HDPE
High density polyethylene has a tightly packed, largely linear molecular structure. That structure is what gives it stiffness, strength and chemical resistance well beyond LDPE.
It is the material behind almost every jerrycan, detergent bottle, crate and water pipe made in Bangladesh, plus a large share of carry bags and heavy-duty sacks.
Grade selection comes down to two numbers — density and melt flow index — matched to your process. Blow moulding, injection moulding, film extrusion and pipe extrusion each need a different balance.

Common questions
HDPE enquiries
What is the difference between HDPE, LDPE and LLDPE?
HDPE has a linear structure with few branches, so it is stiffer, stronger and more chemically resistant. LDPE has long branches, making it softer, clearer and easier to process into film. LLDPE has short branches, giving much better puncture and tear strength than LDPE at the same thickness. Rough rule: HDPE for rigid containers and pipe, LDPE for soft clear film, LLDPE for tough film.
What is ESCR and why does it matter?
Environmental stress crack resistance — how well the material resists cracking when it is under stress and in contact with a chemical such as detergent. It matters most for jerrycans, detergent bottles and any container holding an aggressive liquid.
What is the difference between PE80 and PE100 pipe grade?
They are pressure classifications. PE100 has a higher long-term strength rating, so for the same pressure you can use a thinner wall, or for the same wall carry more pressure. Most new water and gas networks specify PE100.
Can you match the HDPE grade I am importing now?
Usually yes. Send us the grade name, the producer and what you make with it, and we will offer the closest equivalent.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Direct import normally needs a full container load. Stock grades can be supplied in smaller quantities, subject to availability.
Can you arrange UPAS LC terms?
Yes. We work with UPAS LC regularly and can guide you and your bank through the process.
